The Hand That Rocks the Cradle

The Hand That Rocks the Cradle

The hand that rocks the cradle

Rules the world, they say,

For in a motherโ€™s gentle care

A child is shaped each day.

Not with crowns of gold she rules,

Nor sits on royal throne,

But in the quiet of her love

Great seeds of life are sown.

Her hands may seem so ordinary,

Yet heaven knows their worth,

For through her prayers and guiding words

She shapes the hearts of earth.

She wipes away the falling tears,

She lifts the weary head,

She speaks of hope and kindness

In the little things she said.

The hand that rocks the cradle

Teaches faith and grace,

Showing love and patience

In each warm embrace.

And though the world may never see

The power that she gives,

The future of tomorrow

In a motherโ€™s heart still lives.

So bless the hand that rocks the cradle,

Strong though soft and kind,

For in a motherโ€™s loving touch

Godโ€™s goodness we can find.
