Poem Genesis Two

๐ŸŒฟ Genesis 2 โ€” Formed by His Hand

The heavens were finished, the earth stood still,
Creation complete by the Makerโ€™s will.
On the seventh day, He chose to rest,
And blessed that day above the rest.

No rain had fallen, no plough had torn,
Yet life lay waiting to be born.
A mist arose from the ground below,
And watered the earth with a gentle flow.

From dust of the earth, so humble and plain,
God formed a man with loving aim.
Then breathed in him His life divine,
And man became by Godโ€™s design.

A garden was planted, rich and fair,
With beauty and life beyond compare.
The Tree of Life stood shining bright,
And knowledge of wrong and knowledge of right.

A river flowed from Edenโ€™s side,
Dividing lands both far and wide.
God placed the man in that holy place,
To tend the garden by His grace.

โ€œOne tree alone you must not take,
For in that day, your soul shall break.โ€
A warning spoken, clear and true,
For love obeys what God will do.

The creatures came, both great and small,
And Adam named them, one and all.
Yet none was found to stand beside,
A helper fit, a faithful bride.

So God caused sleep on man to fall,
And from his side He formed her all.
Not from his feet nor from his head,
But near his heart where love is spread.

โ€œBone of my bones,โ€ the man did say,
โ€œFlesh of my flesh, with me you stay.โ€
And so began, by Godโ€™s own plan,
The union of woman and of man.

They stood as one, both pure and free,
No shame, no fear, in harmony.
Before the fall, before the stain,
In perfect peace they did remain.
