• She claims her husband is away and assures him they won’t be caught.
• The young man follows her “like an ox going to the slaughter,” unaware of the destruction ahead.

Lesson: Sin often looks attractive at first but hides its painful consequences. Temptation appeals to emotions and desires while concealing the cost.

Verses 24–27: The Final Warning

Solomon concludes:

• Listen carefully.
• Don’t let your heart wander into temptation.
• Many have been destroyed by this path.
• Her house leads to death.

Lesson: The battle against temptation begins in the heart. Avoiding situations that invite sin is wiser than assuming you can resist once you’re deeply involved.
