The Path of Wisdom
Proverbs 4
Upon life’s road where many tread,
Some paths bring joy, some paths bring dread.
A Father’s voice still gently calls,
“Choose wisdom’s way before you fall.”
More precious far than silver bright,
Or treasures hidden from our sight,
Is wisdom from the Lord above,
A gift of grace, a gift of love.
She walks beside the humble soul,
And leads the heart to Heaven’s goal.
She crowns the life that seeks God’s face,
And fills each day with strength and grace.
The righteous walk a shining way,
Growing brighter day by day.
Though storms may come and shadows fall,
God’s guiding light outshines them all.
The wicked choose another road,
A darkened path, a heavy load.
They stumble where they cannot see,
For sin removes true liberty.
Above all else, guard well your heart,
For there life’s deepest rivers start.
What fills the soul will soon be known,
In every deed and seed that’s sown.
Let honest words your lips declare;
Let truth and kindness fill the air.
Turn from the lies that lead astray,
And walk with Christ from day to day.
Keep both your eyes fixed straight ahead,
Where Christ Himself has gently led.
Don’t wander left or wander right,
But follow Him, the world’s true Light.
When trials rise and fears appear,
Remember this—the Lord is near.
His wisdom never fades with time;
His faithful promises still shine.
So seek His Word with all your might,
And treasure truth both day and night.
For those who trust His guiding hand
Shall safely reach that better land.
